This is the image of the closed Russian Live Trap.
Note that the lip on the open trap's door disappears when the door is shut.
While it is difficult to see in this picture, you can see where the pop rivet
is placed in the front door to catch the "weasel guard." Compare with
the diagram and the Weasel Guard image.
Note also the wires extending out of the sides of the trap a few cm posterior
to the door. These are part of the "weasel guard" mechanism. To open
the trap door, you must push them toward the back of the trap. To lock a shut
trap, push them forward (although the "weasel guard" should lock the
door when it closes).
