Live Trap Photos: Door Mechanism
This is a close-up view of the door and treadle
mechanism. The trap is upside down with the floor of the trap removed. As I
stated in the Front Door Open and Treadle Mechanism image pages,
to maximize sensitivity you want to bend the treadle wire so that it barely
props the door open. See Door Mechanism Close-up for a better view of
the wire.
You can also see the placement of the pop rivet in the door which is used to
lock the "weasel guard."
