Russian Live Trap Photos: Front Door

Front Door

Here is a shrew's-eye view of the open Russian live trap. Well - if they could see this well, anyway. From here you can see the wire attached to the treadle that is used to prop the door open. This wire is adjustable, and I recommend bending it back so that it is barely holding the door open. You should be able to lightly tap the bottom of the trap and get it to close. When maximizing the trap's sensitivity in this way, it can be difficult to set. With patience and repetition it becomes easier. The results are well worth the effort (at least I can say that now).

Feel free to email me if you have any questions about the trap.
